IDBI Bank today announced it has 28% bad loans. For every 100 rupees they’ve lent, nearly Rs.28 has gone bad. Do note that even the best banks don’t earn more than a few Rupees per year as the Net Interest Margin and here we are seeing banks lose money that was earned over years.
