While the demonetization has had its own impact on various sectors, the stock market has also not been spared. Reportedly, the markets have been lacking any major trigger and have been mostly range-bound, thereby adversely affecting trading volumes during the month of December 2016.
According to various experts, given that there is no major trigger evident at present; market-participants are foreseeing volumes to remain restrained till the middle of January 2017. Nevertheless, volumes could pick up again after the earnings season for Q3FY17 gets underway and the run-up for the Union Budget begins. Experts are seeing any increase in infrastructure/agriculture spending as well as an encouraging decision on indirect/direct tax benefits as positive triggers.
Although the current conditions have left the investors confused and hence unsure about the impact of demonetization, they still have a ray of hope in the form of the 4th Edition of the Finbridge Financial Services & Technology Expo. Convened at the Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai on 4th and 5th February 2017, Finbridge happens to be an exclusive tradeshow on financial services and technology industry.
While price-movements in stocks have been limited, thereby leaving the investors waiting and watching; such confused investors can surely find answers to their doubts at the Investors Summit convened on the sidelines of the Finbridge Expo.
The Investors Summit has been organised on 4th February 2017 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Sessions to be conducted during this conclave are as follows:
